On November the 14th at 12.02 am 2016 a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck the lower North Island and the upper South Island of New Zealand. The power was cut off for 6 hours then came back on then off again then didn't come back on for the day. I was scared, crying but my family told be to be strong, have faith and stand tall so I did just that. We slept in the lounge for the next week. I hadn't been to my room for 5 days straight. I slept in the same clothes that I wore during the day for 3 days, I didn't even have a shower. When school was back we had a trip that was still on I was thinking " are you dumb or something we've just be struck by an earthquake!" but I went anyway.
Going through something like that is hard and heart breaking, but I stood tall because someone once told me "chin up princess or the crown is gonna slip!"
